Book Design

This was my visual interpretation of Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke.
Rilke's letters to Franz Xaver Kappus, penned between 1902 and 1908 and later published by Kappus in 1929, were a correspondence between a seasoned poet and a young military cadet turned multifaceted professional. Despite never meeting, these letters offered valuable advice on poetry and life, serving as an enduring source of inspiration for poets and shedding light on Rilke's artistic journey and philosophy.
Using a select few of these letters, I highlighted what I found to be profound prose. Inspired by the Russian constructivist era of design, I composed this book as interpreted.
